Privacy Policy

iRepairThis respects your privacy. We collect only the information necessary to provide our repair services, including your name, contact information, device details, and repair history.

We do not sell, share, or distribute your personal information to third parties. Your data is used solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services.

We do not keep copies of your data during data recovery services. Our goal is to recover your data and return it to you.

Warranty on Repairs

What is Covered: Lifetime Warranty

iRepairThis backs most Apple and Samsung repairs with a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects. Here is what that means:

  • Manufacturing defects in parts we install - If a part we installed fails due to a defect in the part itself (not your use), we replace it at no charge. No time limit.
  • Most Apple repairs - iPhone and iPad screen replacements, battery swaps, charging port repairs, and more (using non-OEM parts).
  • Most Samsung repairs - Galaxy phone and tablet screen replacements, batteries, ports, and similar repairs (using non-OEM parts).
  • Workmanship - If we made an installation error, we fix it.

What is NOT Covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • Liquid or water damage - Repairs for water-damaged devices have no warranty. If a device gets wet after repair, the warranty does not apply.
  • New physical damage after repair - If you drop the device, crack the screen again, or cause new damage after we repair it, that is not covered.
  • OEM Apple parts - If you choose genuine Apple parts, the warranty is through Apple, not iRepairThis.
  • Undisclosed prior repairs - If your device was previously repaired by another shop and you did not tell us, and that prior repair causes issues, it is not covered.
  • Devices that sat wet for extended periods - If a water-damaged device sat without professional cleaning for days or weeks, internal corrosion may make recovery impossible, and warranty does not apply.

Warranty Claims Process

If you believe a part we installed has failed due to a manufacturing defect:

  1. Contact us at 970-234-8508 or [email protected] with details of the issue.
  2. Bring the device back to our shop at 750 Main St, STE 110, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
  3. We will inspect the device and the failed part to confirm it is a manufacturing defect.
  4. If confirmed, we replace the part at no charge.

Customer Negligence and Damage

If a warranty claim is denied due to customer negligence (for example, you dropped the device, exposed it to liquid, or caused visible damage), we still want to help. We offer:

  • Discounted repairs - Typically 20-30% off the normal repair price if the issue is customer-caused.
  • Honest assessment - We will tell you straight if the damage is your responsibility and what the repair will cost.

Terms of Service

By using iRepairThis services, you agree to the following terms:

Payment

  • Full payment is required upfront for all repairs and special parts orders over $100.
  • We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash, Venmo, and PayPal.
  • Afterpay is available for payment plans on qualifying orders.

Device Data and Liability

  • We recommend backing up your device before any repair. iRepairThis is not liable for data loss during the repair process.
  • We do not access, copy, or retain your personal data. We focus only on the repair.
  • If you do not provide a passcode or access to your device, we may have limited ability to test all functions. We will do our best with what we can access.
  • For devices with unknown passcodes or locked screens, we test what we can without accessing your data.

Device Protection Plans

  • Protection Pro Infinity - In-house coverage starting at $5.99/month. Coverage details available on our Protection Plans page.
  • AKKO - Nationwide coverage for all your electronics. Coverage details and terms available on the AKKO website.
  • Plan upgrades are only allowed if the device is undamaged. We require photos or videos of the working device before upgrade approval.
  • Coverage applies only to services performed by iRepairThis.

Device Abandonment

  • Devices left at our shop for more than 30 days without communication may be considered abandoned.
  • We will attempt to contact you before taking any action.
  • Abandoned devices may be disposed of or donated at our discretion.

Limitation of Liability

iRepairThis is not liable for:

  • Data loss or corruption during repair (back up your device beforehand).
  • Damage caused by customer negligence after repair is complete.
  • Issues with devices that had prior undisclosed repairs.
  • Incompatibility or performance issues unrelated to the repair performed.

DisplayShield (Free with Screen Repairs)

Every phone, tablet, and 2-in-1 screen repair at iRepairThis now includes DisplayShield at no extra charge.

  • What it covers: If your screen cracks again within 1 year of the original repair, we replace it for free.
  • Same quality, same speed: Replacement uses the same quality parts and turnaround time as your original repair.
  • Conditions: Applies to phones, tablets, and hybrid devices. Does not cover frame or back glass damage.
  • One replacement per year: DisplayShield covers one free screen replacement within 12 months of the original repair date.
